Haven't read much vampire fiction because I always suspect it will be cliche and overplayed. This was a fun take on it. Victor telling her to run and chasing her was exceedingly creepy. Loved it.
Thank you so much! Yeah, so much vampire stuff is derivative and tedious. I always wondered what it was like for the child vampires like Anne Rice’s Claudia and this was to answer that question. ☺️
Thank you! I would love to return to Violet and Victor again, honestly. I didn't intend for it to be anything but flash, but I think they're kind of delightful, and I'd love to see how Violet develops from here.
This gave me big Gallant vibes. The prose was just as lush, the rhythm like a lullaby. There is something sinister in them being children, but it only makes the story more compelling for you know it will go somewhere you don't want it to go. And yet? There's a happy ending. Relatively. Magnificently done! I loved it.
Thank you so much! I'm really glad you enjoyed it and that the style suited the story!! I really appreciate you taking the time to read it and comment! ☺️🥀🖤
This story feels like stepping into a world where fear and wonder exist side by side. I love how Violet’s courage and Victor’s guidance show the quiet ways trust and connection can transform even the loneliest moments.✨
This is awesome.
"fled, but it suddenly didn't feel like a game. He was too quick—too silent. I felt like a fawn being stalked." Fawn being stalked is perfect
Thank you so much! 🥀
That was so good! I loved the Anne Rice stories for the tension and even as a short trip this had lots of that. Well done!
Thank you! 🥀🖤

How did so many of you end up doing vampires?
Conor MacCormack said he was writing a vampire thing and I decided I wanted to do one too. 😅
@John Watson - Horror Author did too.
It was vampire week I guess. 🤣
I will never get sick again... made my stomach drop in the best... worst way.
I'm so glad you enjoyed it. 🥀🖤
Amazing, Victor (the character) put me on edge! As others have said, I love the vivid descriptions.
Now that’s my kind of hide and seek! 😁
😏🤣
Really good way of keeping tension here. Sort of like the last piece of yours I read, though I think this one kept me on edge way better. Nicely done!
Thank you so much! 🖤
A truly beautiful and atmospheric story. I loved that.
Thank you so much. 🥀🖤
Wonderful :)
Thank you so much! ❤️❤️
This is one of the loveliest 🦷 stories I've ever read! Gorgeous story.

This was a wild ride to read. gorgeous wording of the physical features as well
Thank you so much! I'm glad you enjoyed it. ☺️🖤
I loved that. I feel like it could even just be the start of something much bigger if you wanted.

I would to. And I’m curious to see more about victor’s backstory as well. So much fertile ground to play with here!
Agreed! I think he has something to do with what happened to the monastery. 😆
Oh I’m sure. But was he somehow involved? Was he an innocent in the whole matter? I have questions.
We shall see!
Wow. I think i held my breath the whole time.
I'm glad the tension held! Thank you for reading. 🥀🖤
