This was a wonderful read. The ballad has the rhythm and feel of something passed down through generations, while the explanation afterward helped me appreciate the mythology even more. What stayed with me most was the idea that even the gods must submit to fate. As someone who enjoys philosophy, I found myself thinking less about mythology and more about the timeless questions of destiny, choice, and how we meet the things we cannot change. Thank you for sharing your work — I look forward to reading more.
Thank you so much!! Did you by chance listen to the audio? I think it adds another layer.
I really appreciate your thoughtful engagement. If you enjoy ballad poetry and mythology, you would likely enjoy some of my other precious pieces. This is one on Baba Yaga. ☺️❤️
I came into this knowing very little about Norse mythology. As someone who's always gravitated toward Greek myths, this was fascinating to read. There's something strangely comforting about the idea that even the gods can't outrun fate. Brilliantly done.
This is a beautiful collaboration of writing and sound. Such a pleasure to hear of the Norn (Fates, for the Mediterranean cultures) described as weaving the fate of kings and gods as well as the commoners. Well done. 💙
What stayed with me most is the idea that fate exists beyond both kings and gods. The refrain gives the whole piece the feeling of an old story that has been sung for centuries.
I love this. Myth and legend travelling across the eons. Wonderfully written. It was a real pleasure to experience. Thank You.
Thank you!!
I have a soft spot for Norse Mythology. Thank you for this.
Thank you for reading!!

Thank you so much, imi! ❤️🤗
So that music is fire. I could play it all day. It kind of reminds me of Mongolian throat metal Hu. Listen and you might get it.
Thank you! I actually really enjoy The Hu. Folk metal is one of my favorite music genres. 🥰
