I cried when we moved out of our starter home because seeing it empty after it having been bustling was such a weird feeling. I know plenty of people don’t/can’t relate to it, but obviously you do. Thank you for articulating it! (Plus now I know a new word to describe that weirdness!)

I love liminal spaces and kenopsia is such a specific and evocative type of liminal space. As though it is empty but for the grief. 🖤

This paints such a clear image, so evocative with the melancholic tone. Love it!!

Something very odd about a place that once was full of life that is now abandoned. I've been in a few buildings like that and it is eery

Even being in a big venue after everyone's left. Just.. a weird vibe

You captured this very beautifully

That ending was perfect!

Love this - I've always found our relationships with physical spaces to be such ripe content for poetry/ writing. This rules, as usual.

Thank you. 🖤 It's the strangest kind of grief, when a place should be full but everyone is gone.
